Beyer, Julia

Julia Beyer joined the Feller Center Advising & Career Planning team in February 2023. Her main responsibilities include planning career events, career coaching, managing the communications and conducting career related presentations for BSOS undergraduates. She has worked in career services in higher education in the DC area for the past 17 years. Most recently, she worked with students in the School of Communication and the School of Public Affairs at American University and she taught career courses, coached students, and facilitated career programs in person and online.  

Julia has a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Muhlenberg College. She is passionate about helping students identify and pursue their career interests and in helping them to think through career decisions. She is certified to interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory assessments.
