Purpose and Mission
The Smart Center is a centralized business service center created to provide support and expertise to departments and to a growing pool of highly productive faculty. This support provides freedom to various administrative staff members in units to work on those projects which must be managed locally, ensure a higher level of administrative excellence and efficiency in the College, reducing liability and audit risk, and reallocate work—NOT positions or resources. Our mission is to provide administrative excellence and expertise that will serve the faculty and staff of the College assuring optimal, efficient and cost effective business solutions. The Smart Center will function as an advocate for the faculty and staff to reduce the administrative burden and workload, and facilitate research and teaching while providing resources and services to ensure adherence to federal, state and university regulations.
