Purpose and Mission
The Smart Center is a centralized business service center created to provide support and expertise to departments and to a growing pool of highly productive faculty, free administrative staff in units to work on those projects which must be managed locally, ensure a higher level of administrative excellence and efficiency in the College, reducing liability and audit risk, and reallocate work—NOT positions or resources. Our mission to provide administrative excellence and expertise that will serve the faculty and staff of the College assuring optimal, efficient and cost effective business solutions. The Smart Center will function as an advocate for the faculty and staff to reduce the administrative burden and workload, and facilitate research and teaching while providing resources and services to ensure adherence to federal, state and university regulations.
All travel requests that need processed before Winter Break must be submitted by Thursday, December 19th. Requests submitted after this date will be processed when the University opens on January 2, 2020.
