GEOG’s Becker-Reshef wins Provost's Award for Excellence in Research

Dr. Inbal Becker-Reshef from the Department of Geographical Sciences was honored with a 2018 Provost’s Award for Excellence in Research. In the Fall of 2015, the Provost initiated the annual Excellence Awards for Professional Track (PTK) Faculty. Winners are recognized for their consistently excellent contributions in one of the three core areas of academic activity; teaching, research and service. Becker-Reshef was recognized for her international scientific leadership in developing global monitoring reports on the assessment of agricultural conditions. She has served as Principal Investigator on numerous agricultural monitoring-related grants from a diverse range of funders, including a highly competitive NASA award to establish a new Applied Sciences Program on Agriculture and Food Security.
