AI at Your Side: A Guide for Smarter Learning in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

This webinar will help raise awareness of how generative AI is reshaping academic life and offer practical, research-based strategies for using AI in ethical, educationally meaningful ways. It will also engage students, faculty, staff, alumni and the general public in a discussion of how to foster responsible AI literacy across academia while showcasing BSOS leadership in interdisciplinary innovation at the intersection of technology and education.

Professor Galiani is presenting the webinar in parallel with a forthcoming student-centered book from Oxford University Press aimed at empowering undergraduates across disciplines to use AI tools—like ChatGPT—not as shortcuts, but as cognitive partners in learning. This event introduces the key ideas behind the book and explores how AI can help us all think more clearly, write more effectively, analyze data, and become more independent learners.
