Community Violence Problem Analysis Webinar
In April, the Violence Reduction Center (VRC) held its first on-campus event, the Symposium on Community Violence Problem Analysis (CVPA). On April 30th, it convened more than forty scholars, policymakers, practitioners, and funders to discuss the often-overlooked process for identifying the people and places at the highest risk for involvement in community violence. Participants discussed opportunities and obstacles for CVPA, identified best practices, and offered strategies for increasing capacity to deliver this invaluable anti-violence service.
On October 15th, the VRC will release a White Paper based on lessons learned during the symposium. Entitled “Examining Community Violence Problem Analysis: Past, Present, and Future,” the paper does just that, shedding new light on an important yet often overlooked topic. The paper will be published on the VRC website.
Please join the VRC on October 15th from 12-1pm EDT for a webinar discussing the release of the White Paper. The webinar will be recorded.
