First Year Book Lecture

March: Book 3 is the 2017-18 First Year Book, and follows a young John Lewis’ work in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s as chair of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee. The book culminates with the 54-mile march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, and the eventual passage of the voting Rights Act.

Tickets are free but required. Students, faculty and staff may pick up one ticket each with a UMD ID beginning Monday, October 9 from 12-9pm in the Adele H. Stamp Student Union Ticket Office. Please note that the majority of tickets will be reserved for students and are expected to go fast.
