Brent Lorenz is an investment banker focusing on mergers and acquisitions in the IoT sector. In addition to being a Smith School MBA ('00), Brent is an electrical engineer (Kansas State, ’94), and got his start as a sales engineer for Texas Instruments, selling Digital Signal Processors and software development tools. He grew his experience in technical sales and product management at TI, Wind River and VC funded startups, while pursuing his MBA and owning a retail franchise on the side for fun. After making a transition into M&A advisory, he was the Managing Director and Technology practice leader of a middle market firm for 6 years. He now leads the investment banking practice of Momenta Partners, a Zurich based boutique advisory that focuses on the industrial IoT market, providing services including M&A advisory (investment banking), strategic advisory, executive placement, and also has its own IoT-focused venture fund.
