Nazish Salahuddin
Dr. Nazish M. Salahuddin serves as Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and also serves as EEO Partner in all faculty hiring for the college. Salahuddin assists in training and support for BSOS units in areas of community and belonging, with the goal of advancing inclusive excellence and creating a supportive academic and professional environment in BSOS and beyond.
In addition, Salahuddin serves as the PTK Faculty Ombudsperson on the College Park campus, and is a Principal Lecturer and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Psychology.
Salahuddin earned her Ph.D. from the University of Maryland’s Counseling Psychology Program. Her professional interests are largely in the areas of multicultural, gender, and social justice issues including the effects of gender and race based discrimination and mental health. Salahuddin teaches courses related to multicutural psychology, counseling psychology, psychology of women, and counseling skills. She is a licensed psychologist in the State of Maryland.
