Alumni Enjoy Lawyers Event in NYC
BSOS and UMD alumni in the legal profession and affiliated fields gathered at the Yale Club in New York City on April 1 to mingle, network and enjoy cocktails and light fare. At this second annual Lawyers Event in NYC, alumni were also able to cheer on the Terps as a women’s basketball game was featured on a big screen.
Attendees represented a diverse range of specialties and practice areas, and were eager to engage with one another.
At the event, alumni also learned about MLAW Programs, a state-of-the-art collaboration between the University of Maryland and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Driven by MPower and administered by BSOS, MLAW affords students unparalleled opportunities to evaluate and interact with a wide range of diverse and intellectually stimulating legal communities. The program’s courses will be taught by both UMD and School of Law faculty members, providing a rare opportunity for undergraduate students to learn from law professors on a regular basis.
