Audiology Clinic Offers Free Hearing Screenings

May is National Better Hearing and Speech Month, and the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences is celebrating the positive impact made by its faculty, clinical faculty, staff, students and alumni.

From May 4 through May 8, the UMD Audiology Clinic is providing free hearing screenings. Call 301-405-4218 to schedule an appointment.

Ignoring a potential hearing loss can lead to feelings of isolation and depression. Getting a hearing test and using professionally fitted hearing aids—when recommended by a hearing healthcare professional—is an important way for people with hearing loss to improve quality of life. Read more.
