Beyond Ferguson: Campus Town Hall
The African American Studies Department, MLAW Programs and the Iota Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity present: “Beyond Ferguson: Campus Town Hall” from 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11 in the Colony Ballroom of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union.
Moderator Dr. Odis Johnson and distinguished panelists will discuss the tragic shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed teen in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, and the reactions that followed has awakened the nation from the dream of a post-racial America.
Dr. Johnson recently issued a statement on the topic, and his views have been featured in the media.
Panelists include Dr. Mia Smith Bynum (School of Public Health), Dr. Robert Koulish (MLAW Programs) and Dr. Joseph Richardson (African American Studies Department).
