BSOS Staff Among Recipients of UMD Terrapin Innovation and MVP Impact Awards
Several BSOS staff members were named as recipients of the university’s inaugural Terrapin Innovation and MVP Impact Awards.
Advising and Career Planning Assistant Program Manager T.C. Lloyd was honored as a recipient of the Terrapin Innovation Award. This award recognizes staff members for new ideas that capture the spirit of moving Fearlessly Forward with innovative and creative thinking.
Numerous BSOS staff members were recognized as recipients of the MVP Impact Award. This honor is given to staff members who, over the past year, have demonstrated a Fearlessly Forward attitude of excellence, amazing service and outstanding contributions. The BSOS recipients of the MVP Impact Award are:
• Vivre Bell, Department of Geographical Sciences, Director of Administrative Services;
• Jessica Houchens, Department of Government and Politics, Assistant Director;
• Carolyn Schupbach, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences Dean's Office, Executive Director; and
• Marshal F. Washington, Department of African American and Africana Studies, Assistant Program Director and Academic Advisor.
“I am proud of the talented, dedicated and creative BSOS staff members who were recognized with these special awards. The staff in our college make immeasurably positive contributions, and these honors are so well-deserved,” said Dean Susan Rivera.
