ECON Professor Melissa Kearney Co-Authors TIME Article on Pandemic's Impact on U.S. Birth Rates
Melissa Kearney, Neil Moskowitz Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland, recently wrote about the Covid-19 pandemic's impact on birth rates in the United States alongside Phillip Levine, the Katharine Coman and A. Barton Hepburn Professor of Economics at Wellesley College.
Kearney—an expert on domestic policy issues and especially issues related to social policy, poverty, and inequality—is also the Director of the Aspen Economic Strategy Group, a diverse, bipartisan group of distinguished leaders and thinkers with the goal of promoting evidence-based solutions to significant U.S. economic challenges.
