Graduate Spotlight: Briana Garcia

The College of Behavioral and Social Sciences is proud of each of our 2025 graduates, and we also are happy to celebrate August 2024 and December 2024 graduates the during this commencement season. 

Among our talented and inspiring graduates is Briana Garcia, B.S. GVPT ’25. Briana hails from Saint Leonard, Md., in Calvert County. 

After graduation, Briana will begin pursuing her Ph.D. in political Science at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

During her time at Maryland, Briana was engaged in many activities and organizations. 

“One of my favorite memories I made at UMD was going to the Catholic Student Center on Wednesday night to meet new friends and invite some of my own friends for dinner,” Garcia said.
