Prof. Kearney Speaks on Brookings Panel
The Brookings Institution recently marked the 40th anniversary of Equality and Efficiency: The Big Tradeoff by Arthur M. Okun—an influential work from a signficiant macroeconomist—with a special event in Washington, D.C. The keynote speaker was Former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, who provided the foreword for a new addition of the book.
ECON Professor Melissa S. Kearney spoke on a panel discussion following Mr. Summers’ remarks. She was joined by moderator David Wessel, Director of the Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy, as well as former Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers Greg Mankiw; economist Justin Wolfers; and Washington Center for Equitable Growth's Heather Boushey.
