Three BSOS Staff Receive RISE Awards

In keeping with the University of Maryland Strategic Plan, the Division of Academic Affairs recently presented 20 UMD staff members with Retain Ignite Skill building Explore (RISE) awards. Three of the 2024 RISE awards recipients are BSOS staff members.

The three BSOS RISE award recipients, who will each receive $2,500 in support of professional development opportunities, are:

• Arri Abarcar, Business Services Specialist for START
• Jillian Santos, Advising Manager in the Department of Government and Politics
• Julie Randolph, Associate Director of the Civic Engagement for Social Good program, formerly CIVICUS
