Alumnus Eric Swalwell has represented California's 15th Congressional District since 2013. He focuses on a number of pressing challenges, including the threat of white nationalist extremism, as well as gun policy. BSOS was pleased to welcome nearly 200 online guests for this signature College event, as we explored timely political and social issues.

About the Feller Lecture

The Feller Lecture was established via a generous donation from alumni Joel J. Feller (GVPT ’90) and Kim A. Feller (’89), longtime supporters of the University of Maryland and of BSOS. The first Feller Lecture was held in 2018 and featured Chuck Todd, moderator of NBC's "Meet the Press," and noted journalist and alumnus Mike Viqueira, GVPT '86.
