VIRTUAL: Film Club and Panel Discussion: Basketball County: In the Water

The Prince George's County Alumni Network (PGCAN) announces a Film Club event. Join us on August 26 from 7:00 – 9:00pm ET for a panel discussion of Basketball County: In the Water

Basketball County: In the Water explores the relationship between basketball and Prince George's County. This relationship has developed nearly 40 NBA and WNBA players since 2000 alone, including Terps Marissa Coleman and Kailia Charles—as well as countless NCAA players, including Terps Travis Garrison and Anthony Cowan, Jr., and other basketball luminaries such as high school coaching legend Morgan Wootten and the legendary Leonard "Len" Bias.

The panelists include Jimmy Jenkins, director of the film; Mike Jones, current DeMatha head basketball coach; Travis Garrison, former Terp and DeMatha star; Sarah Jenkins, current Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at the University of Delaware, and Interim Assistant Coach for Maryland Women's Basketball, Lindsey Spann. This Zoom Event will feature a panel discussion as well as a question and answer segment.

*Please note that the film will not be screened during this event. The film is available on Amazon and Showtime for screening prior to the event.
