Bowie Ancestors Project

Mission of the project

The Bowie Ancestors Project seeks to provide healing and closure to the descendant community of people who were enslaved on the Magruder Plantation in Prince George's County (Maryland) through the acknowledgement and reburial of seven individuals of African descent who were originally buried in a cemetery on the Plantation.
