In addition to the campus-wide ceremony, BSOS and the other colleges and schools will hold individual ceremonies. The BSOS college ceremonies for Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Spring 2026 graduates will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026. There will be two ceremonies for BSOS units; the organization of the ceremonies is displayed below.

UMD Main Commencement Ceremony

Wednesday, May 20, 2026 / 6 p.m. / SECU Stadium 

The University of Maryland will hold the 2026 main commencement ceremony on Wednesday, May 20 at 6 p.m. in SECU Stadium.

Winter 2025 Graduates Send-Off

You’re Invited to The Dean’s Toast! Let’s raise a glass and celebrate you — our amazing Winter 2025 Graduates! Stop by the Office of the Dean (Room 2141, Tydings Building) on Tuesday, December 9th, between 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM for a champagne special toast from the Deans as we cheer on your incredible achievement.
