Dean's Graduate Student Advisory Council
Dean's Graduate Student Advisory Council
The Dean's Graduate Student Advisory Council (DGSAC) serves as a graduate student-led advisory body representing departments across the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. As a DGSAC representative, you will have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with graduate students across BSOS, bring forward the needs and concerns of graduate students, advise the Dean’s Office on matters related to the graduate student experience, and help develop initiatives that foster connection and engagement among graduate students across the college.
DGSAC is fully led and managed by the students, with representatives playing a meaningful role in shaping the council’s priorities, committees, and initiatives. Your voices and perspectives are central to the work of DGSAC and help ensure that graduate student needs and experiences are represented within the Dean’s Office.
For questions about DGSAC, please contact Associate Dean for Graduate Education, Dr. Isabella Alcañiz at ialcaniz@umd.edu or the Program Manager for Graduate Education and Inclusion, Brittney Robinson at brobins7@umd.edu.
