The Giffords Center’s 2024 Community Violence Intervention Conference

PROGRESS Co-Director Joseph Richardson gave a presentation at the Giffords Center’s 2024 Community Violence Intervention Conference in Los Angeles in partnership with the ROAR Center Peer Healing Circle.

Richardson presented alongside Che Bullock (co-executive producer of Life After The GunShot and former Violence Intervention Specialist) and Lydia Watts (ROAR Executive Director). The session demonstrated how the Peer Healing Circle model has proved effective in removing factors that typically prevent Black men from engaging with mental health services.
