PROGRESS Visits Community Partner, Jacob's Ladder Foundation
October 27st, 2025
On October 27, 2025 the PROGRESS team visited Jacob's Ladder Foundation headquarters in Fort Washington, Maryland. With this visit, PROGRESS had the opportunity to learn more about the programs that Jacob's Ladder provides to prevent gun violence and, simultaneously, empower their community. Among the programs highlighted during the exchange were: youth diversion, juvenile re-entry, and workforce and academic programs. This site visit allowed the PROGRESS team to learn more about the work of Jacob's Ladder and their important mission as a leading community-based organization in Prince George's County.
Reflecting on the consultation, PROGRESS Scholar Kiminori Nakamura said: "I think the site visit at Jacob's Ladder gave the PROGRESS team a great opportunity to learn about their inner workings and various programs they operate. The visit helped affirm our continuing partnership and commitment to community-driven gun violence prevention."
