PROGRESS Presents at 2nd Annual Montgomery County Youth Gun Violence Prevention Summit

PROGRESS was honored to participate in the second annual Youth Gun Violence Prevention Summit for Montgomery County on Saturday, May 3rd at The Universities at Shady Grove.  The Summit was organized by Magistrate Lena Kim of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County.  Attendees included Montgomery County students in grades 7–12, who gathered to learn how they can contribute to efforts to end youth gun violence.

PROGRESS team members Hannah Balcanoff and Bella Campligliana delivered a presentation on the prevalence and patterns of gun violence in Montgomery County, the state of Maryland, and nationwide.  Students also had the opportunity to learn more about the mission of PROGRESS and its work to reduce and prevent gun violence.
