PROGRESS Co-Director Serves as Panelist at Baltimore Together: A Summit on Violence Prevention

June 16th, 2026

PROGRESS co-Director Dr. Jo Richardson took the stage as a panelist at Baltimore Together: A Summit on Violence Prevention on June 16, 2026, hosted by the University of Maryland Baltimore at M&T Bank Stadium. The day-long convening brought together community leaders, grassroots organizers, practitioners, elected officials, and advocates committed to violence prevention in Baltimore. Dr. Richardson reflected on how universities partner with communities in gun violence prevention and response — a conversation made all the more timely as Baltimore continues to see declines in violent crime.

The summit provided a powerful opportunity to explore the strategies, partnerships, and sustained efforts needed to build on that progress and create safer, healthier neighborhoods throughout the city.
