Congress Helps Make PROGRESS with Community Project Funding

PROGRESS is pleased to announce that the initiative has received Community Project Funding appropriated by the U.S. Congress and administered through the Department of Justice's Byrne Discretionary Community Project Grants program.

PROGRESS will devote Community Project Funding to exploring and implementing effective strategies and solutions to reduce and prevent gun violence through training and research, seed grants, workshops, and seminars.  

PROGRESS Co-Directors Jo Richardson and Woodie Kessel express special thanks to members of Maryland's congressional delegation—especially Representative Glen Ivey, Senator Ben Cardin, and Senator Chris Van Hollen—for their support of this important project and gun violence reduction efforts both in Maryland and nationally.
